F ootball coaches are some of the world’s best motivators. They have to be motivators, because football is a violent, painful sport that requires extreme sacrifice and dedication. You have to be a little nuts to be a football player, just like you have to be crazy to be a solopreneur.
So as part of Solopreneur Motivation Month I thought it would be cool to create essays for you that are adapted from motivational speeches given by football coaches. This is a short one, based on a pregame speech delivered in September 2007 by Rev. Derrick Moore (the team chaplain) prior to Georgia Tech’s game at Notre Dame. Georgia Tech won, 33-3. To see to Moore give the speech, it’s at the bottom of the article.
Give thanks every day for the opportunity to own a business. Not because of money, but because of flesh and blood. Solopreneurship is about flesh and blood. It is about a heart that beats strong. It is about a passion that is unyielding.
Know that today is your hour. It is your time. It is your moment. Got take it. Go do what you’ve been prepared to do.
Know that in the solopreneur life, you’re going to fight until you can’t fight any more. You’re going to fall down and bleed a while. And you’re going to get up and fight some more.
Thank you for contacting me.
I will get back to you as soon as possible
